About this informationThese are the in-game scoring rules, Ver. 2.1. They differ from the standards used to assess real railway staff.

Scoring rules Ver. 2.1
Punctuality
• When stopping or passing a station
Add 250 − (timing error in seconds × 10) points, capped at 200.
• When departing
Add 250 − (timing error in seconds × 10) points, capped at 200.
Stopping position
Add 300 − (stopping-position error in metres × 100) points.
No-guide bonus
Add up to 200 points if the 3D guide was not used.
Ride comfort
• Jolt when stopping
At the moment the train stops at its stopping position:
Add 400 − (deceleration − 1.2) × 160 points, capped at 400.
• Unnecessary emergency braking
Deduct 40 points.
• Excessive changes in acceleration or deceleration
When total changes in acceleration/deceleration exceed 8km/h/s over 5 seconds:
Deduct the total change × 10 points.
• Abrupt changes in acceleration or deceleration
When total changes in acceleration/deceleration exceed 3.4km/h/s over 1.5 seconds:
Deduct the total change × 10 points.
• Excessive deceleration
When deceleration exceeds 3.9km/h/s:
Deduct deceleration × 10 points.
Signals
• Observing signals
Add 100 points for each signal-position transponder passed.
• Passing a stop signal (beyond its signal-position transponder)
Deduct 999 points.
• ATS emergency brake activation
Deduct 300 points.
• ATS service brake activation
Deduct 200 points.
• ATS braking-pattern intervention
Deduct 100 points.
Signs
• Observing speed limits
Add 100 points.
• Exceeding a turnout speed limit
Deduct (train speed − speed limit) × 2 points per 1-second interval.
• Exceeding other speed limits
Deduct (train speed − speed limit) × 1 point per 1-second interval.
Other safety items
• Preventing rolling while stopped
Add 20 points if the brakes are not released while stopped. The speed-holding notch also disqualifies this bonus.
• Applying power after the departure go-ahead
Add 40 points if power is not applied before the departure go-ahead is given.
• Rolling while stopped
Deduct 30 points.
• Rolling backwards, including between stations
Deduct 30 points.
Bonuses
• Acknowledging the upcoming-stop buzzer within 8 seconds after the conductor finishes sounding it
Add 50 points.
• Successful standard braking: 2 application stages and 3 release stages
Add 50 points.
• No brake reapplication
Add 30 points.
